Our Founders

Mr N Krishnan, our founder, is a B-Tech from the 1957 batch of IIT Kharagpur who then went on a Burma Shell Scholarship to the United Kingdom and studied at the Loughborough College of Technology (now the Loughborough University). Returning to India, Mr Krishnan worked in the automotive industry before turning entrepreneur in the 1960s. When he set up HVK in 1986, it was the first of its kind in India, for Vickers till then handled supplies directly to customers for replacements and spares. The success of the HVK experiment saw the appointment of 17 other distributors for Vickers across the country in later years. Systems, adherence to commitment and professionalism in all dealings have been the hallmarks of Mr Krishnan's style of management, all of which are the basic tenets on which the HVK group operates.

Mr Krishnan has been actively involved in the Rotary Movement and prior to that he was active as a Round Tabler, being President, All India in the year 1976. He has also been a mentor to several young entrepreneurs and in this capacity has been actively involved with the Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust.
